He grabbed that dick like a motherfucker.

Women, you can stop faking it the moment your man is dragged and beaten into a pulp by a monster or at least switch your expressions for God's sake; damn your method acting...🤣🤣

Night of the demon follows an anthropologist and his students who attempt to track down a Bigfoot responsible for a rash of violent murders, only to uncover something even more sinister.

It's a decent enough plot that allows you to root for your bunch of nerds but what makes it one of the best bigfoot movies is its approach. A creature like a bigfoot can never have a screen presence that is as compelling as that of a Godzilla or…

This. This was absolutely amazing. AMAZING. A bigfoot slasher movie made with a lot of love and almost no skill. Really, it’s basically incompetent at every turn, but wow is it fun!

A z-grade Burt Reynolds lookalike professor takes a group of students into the woods to search for Bigfoot because that’s absolutely a thing that normally happens. Tbh it really would be awesome if it was a requirement at every college, but anyway. There are some amazing kills in this including a sleeping bag kill that rivals one of Jason’s greatest moments in Friday the 13th part VII. There’s arm ripping, penis ripping, back clawing, and more and on occasion, Bigfoot even uses an axe. There’s a scene where…

1980 video nasty backwoods Bigfoot slasher jam goes in hard on the kills, dispatching people with mean spirited and evil murder scenes that almost all include some of the best ‘camera holds on the body while the blood drips’ scenes in any movie I’ve ever seen—the way itdrips down the windshield of the car, the sleeping bag impalement death drippage, the infamous dick getting ripped off faucet of blood, and the dick demon squatch sadistically forcing the two Girl Scouts to stab each other to death… it’s all so wild and repugnant that you almost forget about some of the non Bigfoot scenes being a bit on the slow side and the erotic Bigfoot cult stuff, but holy hell whenever…

WOW. It's a beautiful day when you can still find an 80's horror flick that you haven't seen before that sends shivers down your spine and smacks a grin on your face like you're 12 years old sipping on root beer at 2am all over again.
This clunky low budget sasquatch-slasher is absolutely fucking brimming with ambition, taking a set up of a teacher and group of college kids going deep into the woods to investigate a murderous yeti and then making it so enchantingly elaborate and gruesome that it hooks right onto your fucking soul.

Eerie, mean-spirited, sleazy, and yet incredibly watchable and well-rounded. I was sold when the motorcyclist got his dick ripped off but then awe-struck when…

Night of the Demon = greatest bigfoot movie ever made. 👹

oh the embarrassing amount of times I’ve watched this 80s beast is honestly questionable but I simply can not help myself, it’s gloriously bonkers and even has a healthy dose of sleaze! Everyone always mentions the infamous sleeping bag death scene (it’s me, I always mention it) but one of my favorite overlooked moments is actually the ever so bloody title screen, a guy gets his arm ripped off and as the blood seeps out it slowly fills up a huge footprint and bam! NIGHT OF THE DEMON sweeps across the screen. It’s just so good and gives me goosebumps everytime!
Anyway things to look forward to when you watch…

Unrelentless depravity and gritty bigfoot brutality Night of the Demon unleashes a memorable mean streak of madness and macabre. One of those forbidden films that feels like you shouldn't be watching it. A true video nasty that pulls you into it's violent vortex surrounding you in a sun scorched hellscape of bloodshed. Limbs are ripped apart, people in sleeping bags are swung into trees full force and a penis is torn off! Hope you brought your jock straps!

Incorporating tons of elements from 70s/80s exploitation/horror it almost acts as a greatest hits of controversial cinema. The twisted sex cults, grainy visuals, charbroiled fetuses, the psychadelic bigfoot POV shots, the sporadic flute melodies, a flurry of flannel and mustaches and a dread filled droney score straight from hell. BAM!

Rescued from the dingy depths of obscurity and given the pristine attention it so rightfully deserves, Night of the Demon is ready to rip the limbs off a whole new generation!

The best Bigfoot movie of them all. This Bigfoot does not fuck around. He pulls off a guy's cock at one point. How can you not love that?

  • Review by Stankshadow ★★★ 5

I fucking loved this shit! This film has the best kills ever! A rapey Bigfoot rips a guy's dick off! Then he grabs two Girl Scouts and makes them stab themselves like "stop stabbing yourselves". Just when you think it can't get better Bigfoot goes all Petey Pablo and rips a guy's guts out, twists it round his hand then waves it like a helicopter!

  • Review by Slig001 ★★★ 1

Night of the Demon is a mix of backwoods slasher and adventure movie. We begin with a man in a hospital bed, recounting the events that lead him there. A group of anthropology students head off into the woods to look for a rumoured bigfoot creature who has been killing people in the area. This is an extremely amateur production, given longevity thanks to its inclusion on the Video Nasty list back in the eighties. Director James C. Wasson (this his only feature) augments the film with a strange foreboding atmosphere, mainly created through the trippy soundtrack and well used woodland setting. The thing that really sets the film off is the gore, which is cheap but unflinching. A roadside…

People love Bigfoot. That’s why there are so many movies about him—LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK, DEMONWARP, SHRIEK OF THE MUTILATED, and, sure, HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS. But only one has a scene where Bigfoot tears off a guy’s johnson. NIGHT OF THE DEMON goes where no other Bigfoot has gone before, in that Bigfoot is a lanky man with brunette wigs glued to his arms and legs. This is a movie that knows what you want: a series of kill scenes where Bigfoot tears apart half-naked lovers, impales victims with trees, and sets people on fire. The languid pace of people talking while wandering around the woods only sets up the thrilling viciousness of the murders. So go ahead, commune with the great outdoors. (Annie Choi)

  • Review by Dave Taylor ★★★

After watching Harry and the Hendersons recently, I thought it was high time (literally, since I got high for it) to check out the other end of the Bigfoot movie spectrum, Night of the Demon.

Not surprisingly, my favorite thing about Night of the Demon was that they did not shy away from some very taboo subject matter and visuals. But the pacing was pretty rough, with many scenes staring about 2 minutes too early, so we get lots of random walking shots. Thank God someone on the crew realized that telling stories and showing flashbacks of Bigfoot attacks would not only pad the bodycount, but would keep this from being the total snoozefest that might have been.

  • Review by Josh Lewis ★★★ 1

A very cheap post-Halloween/Texas Chainsaw but pre-Friday the 13th regional backwoods Bigfoot-sploitation Video Nasty slasher that alternates between being amusingly bizarre (Bigfoot stalker POV vision + cheap costume, inept performances including some screaming not far off from the opening scene of Blow Out, leisurely softcore porno sense of dialogue and pacing, fragmented achronological flashbacks-within-flashbacks editing, etc) and a kind of slow and sleepy campfire vibe march to its shock-gore moments, which it has a lot of. Very tonally uneven, amateur-made trash by all accounts but with a ridiculously gruesome mean streak to it and just enough strange detail to keep things moving along. Heard a lot in advance about Bigfoot tearing a leather-clad biker's dick off (the "OH NO!" lol),…
